Fuel costs in Malaysia keep on ascending for 8 successive weeks and both RON97 petroleum and diesel are estimated above RM2.00/liter for the coming week. Petroleum is up by 4 sen for each liter while Diesel is up by 3 sen for every liter.

The following are the fuel costs for the period between second to eighth January 2021:

RON95 – RM1.84/liter (+4 sen)

RON97 – RM2.14/liter (+4 sen)

Diesel – RM2.01/liter (+3 sen)

Diesel (Euro 5) – RM2.11/liter (+3 sen)

The cost of fuel in Malaysia is determined dependent on the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM). As per the Ministry of Finance, the changes in fuel costs mirror the adjustments in the estimating of refined oil items in accordance with the current worldwide unrefined petroleum costs.

The valuing no matter how you look at it is the most noteworthy since the MCO was forced in mid-March 2020. On the seven day stretch of fourteenth of March 2020, RON95 was evaluated at RM1.82/liter, RON97 at RM2.10/liter and Diesel at RM1.87/liter.
